RFID actually stands for Radio-Frequecy Identification and is a way of automatically tracking items by transmitting and receiving a radio frequency. While this technology can be very beneficial for things like the I-pass on a toll road or for tracking books in a library, it's not a great idea when it comes to tracking individuals or when put on items that contain personal information (especially if it is linked to your bank account).
Earlier this year my wife and I recieved our new Chase cards which touted their new Blink technology. We were not excited that someone could potentially read the information off of our card from a distance and without our permission. So, we contacted Chase and requested new cards, which they did finally send to us after we called several times.
Today, I just saw this video which talks about the use of this technology in U.S. Passports and thought that I would pass it on.
Several years ago I watched the entire Eyes on the Prize PBS documentary and it opened my eyes in many ways to the struggles that African Americans specifically, and minorities in general, have faced throughout the history of the United States. I believe the entire series consists of 10-12 two hour programs that document the civil rights movement. While watching this set of documentaries there was one person who came to the forefront as a true leader and prophetic voice to the United States. That person was Martin Luther King. I am posting the first part of the documentary that focused on MLK, if you like what you see it appears that the rest of this program has been posted to YouTube.

Kevin Kelly has been the executive editor of Wired. This is a talk that he gave at the Q conference on the next 1,000 years of Christianity. Below is a talk he gave at TED talks about the next 5,000 days of the internet. Both, are insightful and I think that they go well together.

NT Wright speaks on the future of the Western Christian Church and discusses his thoughts on what might happen to the church in transition. I always find him very insightful. Enjoy!
Thanks to the Blind Beggar for pointing out this video.

It's no secret that English is a crazy language to learn to read and write. It takes more patience than I have to try to explain the rules to those who are learning English as a Second Language.
Ed Rondthaler is the former President of the American Literacy Council and I think he does a great job of explaining the craziness of English in this video.
This is crazy cool!

This video is great. I was especially impressed with Tim Keller during the Q&A session at the end. He was respectful and tried to give the best answers possible to the queries thrown his way.
